LNG Technical Manager

Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd., is currently looking for an experienced LNG Technical Manager to join our dynamic team in Singapore, leading the technical team in the shipping group of our growing business within the LNG industry.

Background:

JSC Novatek is the largest private owned gas company in Russia. LNG production is expected to grow rapidly with upcoming LNG projects.

Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. is the global trading company for JSC Novatek's LNG portfolio with fast growing LNG volume to trade and deliver.

Main Responsibilities:

• Overviewing existing fleet, assisting in developing future fleet, overview of construction and review of various business cases.
• In-depth knowledge of modern engine technology, BOG management systems and cargo handling systems.
• Experienced in terminal assessments and vetting for allowing trading flexibility of the fleet.
• Communicate with Owners, Charterers and internally as required and to act as the lead focal point for technical matters.
• Responsible to follow up and evaluate the technical budgets of the vessels incorporating annual budget development, monitoring OPEX/CAPEX spend as well as effectively overviewing dry-docking budgets, performance, and overall expenditure.
• Able to lead the implementation of LNG technical principles and fundamental competencies in the internal operational and trading processes, provide operational and asset lifecycle management support in close collaboration with other parts of the group.
• Overview of site offices or charterer's representatives at shipyards
• Provide guidance on practical commercial matters.

Experience:

Should have 10+ years from the shipping industry, at least 5 years with LNG with oil major or charterer, with background as a Class I Chief Engineer and technical superintendent. Registered as a Chartered Marine Engineer with IMarEST would be preferable. LNG Newbuilding Experience with and relation with S. Korean Yards will be considered a plus.
