Yamal Trade Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Yamal LNG Joint Venture, is a company incorporated in Singapore which business is linked to Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) produced in Yamal Peninsula (Russia).
Yamal Trade (Yamal) is looking for an LNG Vessel Operation Executive to join its Shipping Team. Yamal is holding long term Time Charters to service its pioneering Arctic LNG project. Yamal chartered fleet is composed of a total of 26 LNG carriers and 2 condensate tankers. The position is based in Singapore.
This is a great opportunity to be part of the dynamic shipping team in our Singapore office, where the core commercial activities happen. The candidate is expected to gain commercial acumen quickly to be an active contributor of the business.
The appointee will assist and support the Vessels Operations Lead in the following:
- Pre-voyage: Plan every voyage in accordance to agreed schedule to ensure it will be carried out as per Company's contractual commitment. Prepare Voyage Orders to respective vessels, appoint agencies and surveyors, ensure vessels loading conditions are as per requirements.
- During voyage: Monitor vessels performance (consumption/ speed, cargo conditions etc) daily. Ensure timely issuance of documents such as Bill of Lading and Letter of Indemnities etc.
- Post-voyage: Determine if there is any claim (demurrage, quality, performance) arising from the voyage, release of surveyor reports.
- Anticipate and contribute suggestions for loading and delivery schedules optimization.
- Work closely with ship managers/owners to ensure vessels are running as efficiently as possible, with minimal downtime
- Liaise with various counter-parties including but not limited to buyers, vessel crews, port agents, bunker suppliers, surveyors etc.
- Provide support to other departments as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Maritime/Business or equivalent qualification.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in handling full spectrum of vessel operations, tanker experience preferred. Candidates with less than required working experience will be considered for junior role.
- Good English written & communication skills.
- Good time management and able to prioritize tasks.
- Problem solver and keen interest to learn new knowledge on the industry/cargo/shipping.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Able to work outside office hours if necessary.
- Salary will be basis on working experiences (excluding bonus).
