Overview:
The Logistics Executive is responsible for driving operational performance excellence and initiatives to improve productivity, as well as the analysis and reporting of key metrices to support the business. Reporting to the Distribution & Logistics Senior Manager, this role works in an environment which requires cross functional collaboration with Vendors, Manufacturing Sites, Internal Customers, Global Distribution Centers, and Quality.
Responsibilities:
Manage 3PL regional (Asia Pacific) warehouse activities; include receiving, storage, distribution, supplies requisition, resource management, inventory management and quarter end management
Manages inventory including cycle count processes, FIFO, serialization, Excess and Obsolete (E&O), inventory reconciliation, inventory counts and adjustments, and scrap
Drive root cause investigations of complex inventory discrepancies and implementation of corrective actions
Coordinate, manage and drive root cause investigations and reductions on over, short and damage shipments (OSD) with 3PL, freight forwarders and manufacturing sites, as well as oversight of rework activities at 3PL
Review and maintain the asset list for Waters-owned equipment
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive lean and continuous improvement projects on process and productivity improvements and cost reductions
Responsible for operational reports such as DC metric, Suppliers KPI, Subsidiaries KPI, cooler & freezer utilization
Responsible for updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Distribution adhering to ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards
Readily adapt to changing requirements or work assignmentsQualifications:
Minimum Diploma in Business, Logistics Management, or related disciplines
Minimum 3 years of experience in working with 3PL or Regional Distribution environment
Proficient in SAP and MS office is a must
Experience in SAP and WMS interface preferred
Experience in International Trade preferred
Experience in Power Query, Smartsheet or Power BI is an added advantage
Commitment expected during quarter ends
Dependable and able to work independently
