Job Description

The Logistics Specialist in Transportation is responsible for managing intercontinental and intra-Asia shipping arrangements, ensuring smooth logistics operations. This role involves handling deviations, escalations, and exceptions with Logistics Service Provider (LSP) management, collecting data for analysis and improvement projects, participating in RFQ mapping and tendering processes, generating KPI reports, and managing transportation-related claims.

Key Responsibilities:


Coordinate intercontinental and intra-Asia shipping arrangements.
Ensure timely and efficient movement of goods across different regions.
Handle deviations, escalations, and exceptions with LSP management.
Ensure timely resolution of issues to maintain smooth logistics operations.
Collect data for future analysis and improvement projects.
Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and the enhancement of transportation processes.
Participate in RFQ mapping and tendering processes.
Provide insights and support as needed to ensure competitive and effective logistics solutions.
Generate consolidated KPI reports for transportation operations.
Create required dashboards to provide management with visibility into logistics performance.
Provide support in managing claims related to transportation issues.
Facilitate resolution processes to ensure claims are handled efficiently.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of intercontinental and intra-Asia shipping practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle deviations and escalations.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Experience in RFQ and tendering processes is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
