DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, ACTIVE MOBILITY (REGULATORY POLICY)
What you will be working on
The Active Mobility Group develops, promotes and regulates the use of active mobility (cycling, riding personal mobility devices, using personal mobility aids, and walking) as a key strategy in LTA's Walk Cycle Ride vision. This includes overseeing the full value chain of activities from conceptualisation and planning to regulation and communications.
There are 5 main aspects of the Group's work on Active Mobility:
i. Planning
ii. Infrastructure Design
iii. Promotion and Engagement
iv. Regulatory Policy
v. Device Sharing
You will be responsible for the conceptualization, development and review of strategies and policies to regulate and manage the use of bicycles and personal mobility devices. With the enactment of the new Active Mobility Act which sets out the rules and code of conduct for the safe and gracious use of active modes, you will be responsible for reviewing Active Mobility-related policies and developing new policies as needed, including enforcement policies and setting up the necessary legislation. You will need to exercise strong communication and project management skills to work closely with the various stakeholders such as other government agencies, retailers and special interest groups.
What we are looking for
. Tertiary qualification in any discipline
. At least 3 years of relevant working experience preferably in regulation and policy work
. Highly adaptable, able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment
. Good analytical, written and communication skills
. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
