Manager, 1 Collections, Receivables and Refunds
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the Finance team responsible for the accounting and operations of the collection and receipting functions. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain insights on and enhance on collection and receipting controls drive process improvements and co-solution with our internal business groups to derive policies/processes/system solutions to support an effective collection and receipting function.
. Oversee a team of staff to ensure timely and accurate processing, accounting and reconciliation of collections from various payment channels to our sub-systems records and resolve discrepancies noted. This includes partnering selected business groups and internal/external stakeholders to address any collections related issues or ascertain accounting treatments for receipts/collections, performing bank reconciliation and preparation of quarterly GST return.
. Execute/oversee the year-end financial closing processes for the accounts receivable function and liaise with external auditors to support annual financial report preparation.
. Prepare annual revenue projection submission, proposal for procurement of services as well as management analysis reports, as required.
. Prepare/maintain/review standard operating procedures in alignment with Government financial regulations, provisions, policies, and procedures to support the business function.
Participate/lead digitalisation and transformation initiatives to enhance operational processes to achieve work efficiency. This includes participation in system enhancement/development projects to provide collections/receivables specifications and user acceptance testing, etc.
[What we are looking for]
. Knowledge in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications.
. At least 6 years of relevant working experience, including 2 years of managerial experience leading teams.
. Able to work independently and perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
. Highly driven individual who is meticulous, analytical, and resourceful.
. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact across different stakeholder groups.
. Good verbal and written communication skills.
. Knowledge of SAP financial systems & Robotic Process Automation (RPA - UiPath, Python) will be an added advantage.
