DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, EV REGULATIONS
What you will be working on
You will be part of the newly formed National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) under LTA's Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC facilitates EV adoption through efforts to spearhead the regulation and deployment of EV charging systems in Singapore.
You will play an integral role in the team developing regulatory policies and framework, as well as implementing regulations and systems under the Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA) to ensure safe, accessible and reliable provision of EV charging services. This involves administering the licensing of EV charging operators, the registration of EV chargers, and the processing of submissions for the provision of EV charging in carparks.
You will also work closely with stakeholders to conduct enforcement and ensure compliance of the regulatory policies and framework. You will contribute to achieving the outcomes of ensuring safety, managing operational constraints, and being business-friendly.
What we are looking for
.Tertiary qualifications in any discipline.
.Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment you may be required to work on multiple initiatives in the same period.
.Strong writing and presentation skills, with an eye for details.
.Experience in enforcement policy or operations, such as regulating licensees or use of banned products.
.Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational needs, and recommend effective and efficient use of enforcement resources.
.Able to work collaboratively in a cross functional team, and with various stakeholders such as companies and other government agencies.
.Interest and basic knowledge in electrical systems and electric vehicle charging systems will be advantageous.
