The M&E Manager is fully responsible for the execution of project as leader to M&E team member assigned under his care and mentoring. Responsible for both engineering (technical) and project management (production) of M&E services on site.
Job Responsibilities
- To lead project M&E team consist of and not limited to M&E coordinators, site supervisors, BIM modellers and M&E QS (if any).
- To liaise and attending meeting with client project management, employer's representatives, project consultants and resident engineer/technical officer for project design and coordination.
- To liaise and coordinate with relevant technical agencies eg SPPG, PUB, LTA, SCDF, etc to facilitate interfacing, services connection and compliance.
- To lead and manage appointed nominated and domestic sub-contractors, direct vendors, etc to meet the intended coordination, timeline and quality to the contract requirements.
- To be responsible for M&E contracts related matter include project costing, variation due to changes, progress claiming and payment to all levels of stake holders, sub-contractors and vendors.
- Be able to produce M&E activities program to suit and to coordinate with builder's master construction program.
- Responsible to the M&E progress of works to meet multiple milestone target and internal program.
- Familiar with contracts specification and regulatory requirement.
- To attend site coordination sort for constructive solution in the event the site issue is out of the hand of M&E coordinator/supervisors.
- Lead, coach and manage team members.
- Timely update of project progress to the management team.
- Adherence and promote safe work practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or building services.
- Preferably at least 10 years of relevant work experience in delivery full suite of M&E services within the construction industry.
- At least 5 years of proven people management experience
- Proven track record and experience in managing mixed development construction projects
- Candidate with prior experience in handling projects valued $100million and above and worked with A1 Main Contractor would have an added advantage
- Highly effective and knowledgeable in M&E aspects of things in the construction phase
- Effective interpersonal skills, stakeholders management skills, problem-solving, analytical and project management skills
