This Manager/Assistant Manager contract position provides communications and content support to the Community Impact (CI) division, which includes departments that run community engagement programmes, the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO), and the Singapore Symphony Choruses. This position will focus on strengthening the brand positioning and visibility of key SSG entities like the SNYO and Singapore Symphony choruses, which includes working closely with the respective teams to develop and implement social media strategy and tactics while ensuring alignment with the overall Singapore Symphony Group's communications and digital plans and frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content creation and social media
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow existing and new social media channels for SNYO and the Singapore Symphony Choruses
- Oversee social media and content marketing for CI, including developing scripts/ story outlines and working with vendors to produce content
- Act as a liaison between SNYO, Choral Programmes, and Communications, Digital & Marketing departments
- Create and edit basic short-form video content for different social media platforms (e.g., IG, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Editorial lead for the community engagement team's quarterly publication
- Oversee hired photography and videography vendors at concerts Manage photo and video shoots for the CI division
- Manage related digital assets, including electronic photo and video archives, photo selection for external partners, and permissions/crediting for use of photographs and video, and liaise/ communicate with internal colleagues (e.g., digital team)
Branding and communications
- Work with external vendors to develop brand assets and resources for CI programme needs (e.g., key visuals for concerts and other activities, photo/ video shoots, social media content in the lead-up to key concerts, etc.)
- Plan and deliver marketing campaigns targeted at specific audience segments, including e-brochures, e-mail marketing, and other promotional material
- Document CI programmes and develop compelling narratives for media coverage
- Identify unique stories for press pitching and content building needs
- Work closely with internal Marketing Communications department to ensure brand alignment for all public-facing materials and brand assets for CI.
- Any other matters related to branding and communications of CI work
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma and above
- Minimum 4 years of branding, communications, social media, or other related work experience
- Experience in arts administration, especially symphonic/ choral music, would be an advantage
- Excellent oral and written communications in English is essential
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as video editing and photography, are required
- Excellent people skills, including being a good team player, and able to interact with people from different backgrounds and personalities
- Must be meticulous and organised with a strong sense of pride in the quality of their work
- Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed
