Singapore Fashion Council is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who enjoys interacting with people and is passionate about bringing positive digital transformation to the fashion industry with innovative ideas.

Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with all the Business Units, the Manager of Digital Transformation & Governance is a strategic and dynamic role responsible for ensuring robust corporate governance, data protection, and IT operations while driving the organisation's digital transformation strategy. The role is responsible for ensuring the organisation adheres to regulatory requirements, protects sensitive data, and leverages technology to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and growth. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Planning

  • Manage the relationship with outsourced IT support providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Monitor the performance of external IT vendors and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the planning and execution of digital projects, including system upgrades, network enhancements, and software implementations, in collaboration with outsourced providers.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

  • Oversee the organisation's data protection strategy and implementation to ensure compliance with PDPA and other relevant data protection regulations.
  • Act as the point of contact for data protection authorities and respond to inquiries and investigations.
  • Conduct regular training and awareness programs for staff on data protection best practices.
  • Lead the response to data breaches, including notification to relevant authorities and affected individuals.

Corporate Governance

  • Implement, and monitor the company's corporate governance framework per TAC Governance Framework
  • Advise the CEO on governance issues, including risk management, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Oversee the preparation of governance reports and ensure transparency in governance practices.

Digital Transformation

  • Develop and execute the digital transformation strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify and implement digital tools and platforms that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive digital projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to advise on potential opportunities for the company.

Pre-Requisties

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in an SME start-up environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including board members, executives, technical teams, and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of PDPA, data protection regulations, IT security standards, retail, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage IT projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Considerations

  • Experience in implementing and managing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms.
  • Certifications in IT management, cybersecurity, or data protection.
  • Experience in trade associations and/or fashion industry will be an added advantage.
