Job Description:
The Manager (Education - Kindsville) role primarily involves managing project timelines, coordinating with vendors for outsourced design and copywriting and ensuring quality in all educational materials. He/She reports to the Deputy Director (Education) and Executive Director.
The Manager (Education - Kindsville)s job description is as follows:
- Manage the development and timely delivery of Kindsville Times and Agents of Kindness (A-OK!) newsletters and educational materials for preschool and primary school students, in consultation with the Ministry of Education Citizenship and Character Education Branch, and coordinate with external vendors for design and copywriting.
- Oversee the production process for Kindsville Times and A-OK! newsletters from colour proofing to final print and delivery with appointed printer.
- Liaise with animation agencies to manage schedules and ensure each episode of Singa and the Kindness Cubbies aligns with content briefs and timelines.
- Ensure the Kindsville website is updated by coordinating with relevant team members or vendors.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring good governance and managing budgets and logistics for all assigned programmes and events.
- Establish evaluation standards to track the effectiveness of educational materials, provide post-event and programme reports, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the education team and other departments to ensure seamless implementation of programmes.
- Maintain archives of key project documents, images and materials.
Qualities and Skills:
- An eye for detail: Strong attention to quality and design, ensuring all materials meet brand standards and resonate with young audiences.
- Interest in children's content: An interest in children's educational content, including stories, activities, and values-driven messaging for young learners.
- Project management skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively with vendors and team members to meet deadlines.
- Organisational skills: Good organizational abilities for managing production timelines, budgets, and maintaining documentation.
- Adaptability and teamwork: A collaborative mindset, with the ability to adapt and contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field is preferable.
