Manager, Fare Systems
Job Purpose
Primary role is to lead and manage Strides Engineering Fare System revenue projects to meet internal and external customer requirements. The key areas include handling various projects from tender preparation phase, which include preliminary design, resource management, system quality control and assurance, and project implementation strategy and deliveries to meet timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Coordinating, monitoring, liaison with various parties on Fare System project work activities.
Organize, lead and update project status and progress.
Constantly review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective action.
Comply to company policies, quality standards and safety procedures.
Design review of Fare System design proposal which covers document / drawings / processes / procedures submitted by others.
Participate in project tender submission and evaluation.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Lead and responsible for project quality control and assurance.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline (preferably in Electrical and Electronic or Software / Computing Engineering).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management and a managerial role.
Experience in AFC system and Account Based Ticketing (ABT) is preferred.
Experience in international projects would be an added advantage.
Proven track record in delivering projects from conception to completion (includes but not limited to scheduling, planning, forecasting, resource planning, and managing all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality)
Skills
Technical skills include:
Possess project management, information management and creative thinking skills.
Good understanding of Automatic Fare Collection system, especially in Account Based Ticketing (ABT).
Good understanding of RAMS, FMECA, QC/QA process.
Generic skills include:
Good analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently.
