You will be a part of HPB's Finance Division, assisting to oversee and drive the Finance functions and to be a trusted partner with the divisions in HPB to deliver valued financial advice and support to ensure that the Board's resources are optimally allocated and utilised efficiently and cost effectively for HPB to carry out its functions, at the same time ensuring practice of good corporate governance in HPB.
What You Can Expect
As a member of the Finance Division you will have to be comfortable to put on many hats. You will support different functions as follows:
General Ledger
- Prepare schedules for month end and year end closing.
- Assist with planning and coordination of yearly audits and timely response to audit queries.
- Scheduling prepayments in finance system
- Post accrual journal entries and coordination of accrual exercises with budget team
- Managing General Ledger in HPB to ensure transactions are properly recorded to align to reporting needs.
- Contribute and/or drive streamlining of processes to improve efficiency, integrity and accuracy of data/reports.
Fixed Assets
- Work with outsourced service provider to ensure seamless fixed asset operations for daily operational work.
- Review month end reporting provided by outsourced service provider.
- Oversee annual stocktake carried out by outsourced service provider and coordinate with asset custodians on follow up actions.
- Routine review of SOP to ensure relvance to operations and compliance.
Administration of financial system access
- Administering HPB-wide Workday Security access and liaise with stakeholders on periodic review/sign off of user access.
- Attend monthly meetings with Account Review Committee and provide relevant updates to the department
Banking
- Prepare payments via DBS IDEAL and processing of corporate credit card requests from divisions.
Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor and covering of team members in their absence.
Be Part of the Team
An ideal candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The candidate should also:
- Qualifications in accountancy with relevant experience
- Experience with Workday is an added advantage.
- Be familiar with Microsoft office software, including MS Excel & Powerpoint
- Be meticulous with eye for details and strong analytical skill
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good team player
- Have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelines.
