Monitoring of regional trade legislations, regulations and rulemaking trends impacting Farnells business interests within the APAC region
Developing and maintaining relevant SOPs and procedures for trade related activities (import & export)
Supervising a team to oversee and execute the day-to-day GTC operations within APAC region
Monitoring and executing transactional/order compliance screening and export hold releases to support Farnell businesses
Overseeing the submissions, administration of import & export licenses, and miscellaneous correspondences to government agencies
Managing all enquiries from business stakeholders within APAC region
Performing ad hoc compliance reviews for Farnells entities
Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risks for process improvements
Conducting Trade Compliance training to business stakeholders
Supporting the APAC GTC department for ad hoc projects, as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business/Economics or equivalent qualifications
5 years or equivalent GTC experience in a US MNC environment
Hands on with high level of ethical standards
Working knowledge of relevant trade laws & regulations
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive and able to multi-task
Supervisory experience/skills
Excellent communications skill (English & Mandarin a must)
