Job Description:
- Establish contact with patients and their families at referral or admission.
- Serve as the hospital's primary contact for patients and families.
- Implement workflows to ensure positive experiences for patients and families.
- Identify caregiver stress, discern sensitive issues, and offer counsel or solutions.
- Advise and support staff during crises to diffuse tension and provide empathy and counseling.
- Assist and support staff with patient relations and communication issues.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the Ward Ambassadors team.
- Review and respond to feedback and complaints from the Patients Feedback Form.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Pastoral Care Services, and Nursing to organize patient engagement events.
- Develop programs and events to promote patient engagement and improve the patient experience.
- Identify caregiver stress and offer empathy, support, solutions, and resources.
- Collaborate with external agencies like Caregivers Alliance for caregiver support and post-discharge follow-up.
- Participate in ward processes relevant to patient relations and experience.
- Provide dementia care training to staff and caregivers.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in public relations, communications, or counselling.
- Preferably experienced in hospitality, public relations, or caregiver support.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
- Independent, dependable, creative, and outgoing.
- Strong in public relations, client experience, and counselling.
- Good organizational and rapport-building skills.
- Resilient, calm, and exercises sound judgment in crises.
