Key Job Accountabilities: - Oversee all aspects of engine MRO Gate 2 operations for Commercial Engines and Logistics of the Company
- Drive Gate 2 operational excellence and be accountable for engine on-time delivery, contractual TAT, and cost control, as well as quality and safety compliance
- Plan and ensure that material supply and sub contract parts are on time to meet monthly engine delivery commitments as per customers expectations
- Ensure compliance of quality standards and regulations laid down by airworthiness authorities and engine OEMs
- Promote a safety culture within the Gate 2 and Logistics team and coordinate all environment health and safety issues for the business unit to ensure a safe workplace
- Lead Continuous Improvement/ Kaizen /Digitalization /Automation initiatives to reduce cost and drive productivity
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities for onboarding to AVL
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and vendors to expand the organization's supplier network
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining positive relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to streamline processes and optimize supplier performance
- Monitor and ensure issues and disputes with suppliers and vendors are resolved in a timely and effective manner, fostering a cooperative and productive working relationship
- Continuously assess market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and value-added solutions through effective supplier management strategies
- Ensure accurate records and documentation related to supplier contracts, agreements, and performance metrics are maintained
Required Experience and Qualifications: - Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering/Supply Chain Degree with at least 5 years relevant experience as Planning/Material/Production Manager in Aviation Industry
- Knowledge and experience in aircraft engine MRO environment will be an advantage
- Knowledge of aviation authority regulations (CAAS, FAA, EASA, CAAC)
- Proven leadership track record with strong ability to drive and deliver results
- Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
