Job Description
This Role will be responsible for Managing all things related to: Planning, Procurement, Performance Management for the newly created Central Production Unit. He/she will collaborate very closely with his/her peers for the three focus areas of the CPU 1) Fish & Seafood, 2) Fruits & Vegetables, 3) Poultry.
Role
This Role will have a Dual reporting line into both the Head of the CPU and the Director for Food Processing. He/She will be Focusing on:
- Operational KPIs such as: Fulfillment on time, Yield/Shrinkage, Cost for unit of transformation
- Assisting in continuous improvement work relating to system, data, etc
- And assist in tracking Financial targets /Financial KPIs (P/L ownership for operations) and relevant gaps relating to KPI and or other operational matters.
In addition to the above he/she will also be involved in the BAU by ensuring Process compliance, analysis of the of the data (transactional, KPI, etc.)
He/she work with/lead a small team of Tl and Senior TL (dotted line) that will be responsible for: Planning, management of Inventory and production transactions in relevant systems, Store order fulfillment capturing, etc. The team will report to him/her with regards to process compliance, improvement and Analysis of the Data, whereas the team of TLs will look towards Senior Executive processing for every BAU topics such as issue, specific transaction, coordination, issue resolution and other BAU matters.
The immediate focus in addition to overseeing the BAU will be to handle the transition to the new facility, requiring the onboarding and training of new staff but also to assist in developing and implementing new processes in coordination with the Manager for process improvement.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and/ or other relevant field with industry experience
or
- Diploma Holder with extensive experience in similar role and proven track record of Impact and continuous drive for improvement and learning
Relevant Knowledge And Experience
- Relevant work experience in Planning, Logistics/Warehousing, Operations Management or other relevant positions
- Good understanding of Systems including SAP, WMS, MES
- Good understanding of Operations and/or Logistics Management principles, inventory flows and movements
- Experience in the Food Processing will be an added advantage
