The INSEAD PhD Programme is designed to provide the best training, experience, and advice to set the foundations for a successful career in business academia. It offers a rigorous and relevant curriculum in a unique, diverse, and global environment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Recruitment and Admissions within the PhD department. This is a temporary contract position until end February 2025 and is based on our Asia Campus in Singapore.

About The Job

Reporting to Director, PhD Programme, you will play a crucial role in refining our marketing strategies, organising impactful events, and managing the admissions process. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth and success of our PhD programme. You will work closely with various departments, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students from their initial inquiry through to their enrollment. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our PhD programme by attracting and enrolling high-caliber candidates from around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment/Marketing:

  • Refine marketing materials, including presentations and collaterals.
  • Organize on-campus tours and online events, ensuring their smooth execution.
  • Assist in identifying high-potential candidates from in-progress applications and contacts database to increase conversion rates.
  • Support the PhD team in data management, data mining, and email campaigns.
  • Respond to inquiries from candidates or prospective students and assist area representatives in following up with their referrals.
  • Update the PhD website regularly.
  • Coordinate with other departments on marketing and recruitment-related activities.
  • Manage alumni updates.
  • Undertake additional marketing tasks and follow-up on events as needed.

Admissions:

  • Assist in managing and fulfilling key deliverables in the admissions process.
  • Provide weekly or key date updates on admissions reports.
  • Monitor the PhD Information Inbox and online application platform.
  • Follow up with key stakeholders to ensure a smooth admissions process.
  • Coordinate with Service Desk, IT, and applicants on technical and admissions issues.
  • Update relevant marketing materials and portals with information for prospects about the current intake's application.
  • Take on additional admissions responsibilities as required by the team.

Qualifications and Qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, or experience in marketing, communications, and event organization in higher education.
  • High sensitivity to cross-cultural issues and communications.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking, and project management skills.
  • Strong IT skills; experience with CRM systems and programming is advantageous.
  • Meticulous, flexible, committed, and proactive.
  • Outstanding planning and organizing skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation and cultural sensitivity.
