This position is open to candidates residing within Asia Pacific Region and Greater China. Successful candidate residing outside Singapore will report remotely to DB Schenker Singapore Regional Head Office.
General Description
The Regional IT Partner Manager is responsible for steering the holistic unit of IT services for the full-service lifecycle in terms of customer, business, and operational demands for the contracted business.
The Regional IT Partner Manager is part of the regional account team and supports the account team managing strategic key accounts of DB Schenker. He / She acts as an internal and external interface between Schenker IT, other internal business units and the customer's IT and / or their respective service providers.
He / She is the first contact for all regional IT related questions for all parties and ensures that all related activities such as projects and services are delivered and executed not just on time and within budget, but are also in line with Schenker IT compliance, the strategic vision of the account and customer requirements.
The scope of this role is focusing on all business services DB Schenker offers to the customer globally. This includes the business services Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Land Transport and Contract Logistics. The overall motivation is to support the establishment of a good business relationship, by being a proactive and reliable partner to all relevant stakeholder, and the customer expert on the IT side. The Regional IT Partner Manager significantly reduces the communication efforts for both internally and externally involved stakeholders.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Being a member of the regional account team, by consulting and supporting the team and the customer in all IT related questions.
- Managing various regional internal and external stakeholder and all levels of management.
- Responsible for executing a global IT strategy and setup within the region.
- Draft of regional demands and requests.
- Sharing best practice and governance within the global IT Partner Manager community and IT teams.
- Prepare, participate and follow-up on customer related Business Reviews (MBR, QBR, etc.)
- Engaged in acquisition of new business during RFI, RFP, RFQ, and many more.
- Responsible for regional crisis and escalation management, such as (but not limited to) critical production incidents, critical project delays, etc.
- Contribution to improvement projects and evaluation of the IT setup and IT services.
- Support new ideas and services other internal business units might offer, with focus on the customer's need.
- Represent GIPM within DB Schenker and supporting your team in growing.
Requirements
- Good English skills in verbal and writing with a special focus on Logistics and IT vocabulary paired with the ability to adapt to customer vocabulary.
- Excellent communicator and able to build sustainable business partnerships and networks.
- Knowledge on Logistics, IT Service Management and Project Management.
- Quick understanding of customer needs and their underlaying motivation, and how Schenker IT can meet both in the best way possible.
- Strategic thinking but also ability to dive into details where needed.
- Proactive mindset paired with curiosity - being keen on learning something new every day is a prerequisite.
- Resilient personality and ability to deliver good performance even under pressure.
- Willingness to Travel.
