The Business Development role is to help Core Research facilities within NUHS expand their clientele to include external customers including commercial companies. The goal is to drive long term financial sustainability and identify and pursue opportunities for long term growth through
- Boosting the publicity and awareness of NUHS research core facilities;
- Professionalizing the services provided including the development and simplification of contracts and pricing models; and
- Forging strong relationships with external customers.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following
:
- Be the main POC for the core facilities, including leading of their annual budget review exercise and act as the liaison between the cores and reserch office management.
- Lead strategic planning for the cores by conducting appropriate scans and compilation of business intelligence to enhance visioning and forecasting
- Client Management including the management of both the existing customer base and developing new business opportunities
Requirements
- A Good Degree in life sciences. A higher degree (Masters/PhD) is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of research administration and prior working experience with sales techniques would be an advantage
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Proven ability to plan and manage resources
- A self-starter with the ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
