Unleash the Roar! (UTR!), is the national football project that aims to uplift the Singapore football ecosystem while inspiring and uniting the nation. It is co-led by Sport Singapore (SportSG) and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).
You will be part of the growing UTR! team that will help implement plans for football development, high performance pathways and industry development to make football a viable career option. You will play a pivotal role in executing UTR!s internal and external communications and engagement strategies. You will help plan, execute and monitor communication strategies (both traditional and digital), ensuring proactive and consistent messaging to enhance UTR!s reputation and nurture positive stakeholder relations.
Reporting to the Team Lead of UTR! Communications & Engagement, you will be responsible for the following:
Engagement:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Singapore football ecosystem (both public and private sectors) and build trust with key members of the community
- Identify and map UTR!s strategic stakeholders (including media outlets), key personalities & audiences for high-impact engagement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and plans to proactively engage and build positive, long-term relationships with critical internal and external stakeholders to promote alignment and commitment towards UTR!s vision and mission
- Supervise and work closely with the team on the implementation of initiatives (such as regular dialogues with key stakeholders, and also effort through digital platforms) to strengthen engagement and develop loyalty and support
- Develop partnerships with new stakeholders for possible collaboration, while maintaining and deepening existing relationships
- Host and coordinate visits from external stakeholders ensuring a positive experience to build deeper engagement and relationships
Operations:
- Contribute to the planning and execution of key UTR! engagement events, including stakeholder engagement sessions and media opportunities
- Support the curation of the workflow of events operations to ensure that UTR! events operate well and delivers on the desired outcomes
- Manage and assist media outlets to cover these events, including organising media kits, facilitating interviews and generating media coverage reports
- Manage invites for stakeholders to both UTR! and non-UTR! organised events
Others:
- Monitor industry trends and communication strategies of other key ecosystem players to stay ahead of the curve
- Provide secretariat support for Management Meetings on Communications & Engagement matters
- Perform any other duties as assigned by a superior or management
Requirements:
- We are looking for highly motivated individuals who positive, team-oriented attitude, value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. Preferably, this individual is a firm believer / advocate for sport and active lifestyle him/herself
- Knowledge and understanding in Singapore's local sporting system, especially football is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, PR, Marketing, Business Management, Sport Management or equivalent
- Minimally 5 years of relevant experiences
- Experience in visual communications principles, able to create effective communications materials independently
- Proficiency in artwork/infographic design/video editing for socials - Photoshop, Canva, etc would be advantageous
- Strong command in English, both spoken and written
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong team player, able to cross-functionally collaborate within team and across organisation
- Project management and vendor management skills required to support initiatives and key projects
- Ability to work with dynamic and ambiguous environment. Able to define scope and manage multiple priorities and internal/external stakeholders expectations to meet objectives
- Detail-oriented and results-driven
