Make An Impact By- Help originate and execute strategic value creation initiatives for Singtel's (ST) new growth businesses
- Ensure our ST's ecosystems (including our telco associates) are well engaged and prioritized within the digital bank teams to develop and support ST ecosystem specific product use cases
- Requires to work closely across and with all the Singtel Businesses (SG Consumer, Group Enterprise, NCS and our regional associates)
- Opportunity to work on overseas projects as the digibank expands regionally
- Be part of a high performing team working closely with our Joint Venture (JV) partner Grab to build a digibank from ground zero and drive/support our ST new businesses on their strategic activities as part of the GCFO office
Three Principal Areas Of Focus As Follows
- Business Management for Digital Associates (including GXS bank)
- Business management/partner for the digital banks and the new ST digital growth businesses respectively
- Ensure ST has deep and relevant strategic understanding of the overall strategy and considerations in the respective digital banks
- Maintain financial oversight over our digibank, P&L, overall performance and budgeting
- Review, analyze and acquire a good understanding of the digibanking industry
- Support the operational business management requirements of the digibanks, including briefings and administrative and logistical support for our Singtel MC members
- Ensure ST's MC members are well prepared for board discussions / meetings
- Manage ST internal reporting requirements and ensure there is good corporate governance and risk managements in the banks
- Key digibank relationship manager across all levels top mgmt to working level
- Will need to travel to Malaysia and Indonesia periodically
- New Digital Growth Businesses / Partnerships
- Originate and execute strategic partnerships for the new digital growth businesses
- Develop and analyze new business cases / partnerships for new growth businesses
- Launch new markets including business development efforts to identify new JV / partners / investors and overall transaction execution
- Develop and drive internal and external partnerships based on aligned desired outcomes with potential for full ownership for overall partnerships
- Provide GCFO oversight and support on key strategic matters (including M&A transactions) for the new digital growth businesses
- Work with the respective digital business management teams to review and develop the business strategy as part the GCFO office
- Digibank Ecosystem Strategy
- Ensure our ST's ecosystems (including out telco associates) are well engaged and priotizised within the digital bank teams.
- Develop and support ecosystem specific product use cases together with the respective teams across the banks and ST / Tsel
- Build direct relationships and communication channels between our teams (across SG, MY and ID) and the digital bank teams to enable autonomous and effective engagements
- Support the digital banks (SG, MY and ID) and ST / Tsel teams to execute on the overall ecosystem strategy
- Drive the program management for our Singtel business units and ensure each workstream objectives as defined in the areas of responsibility, and that necessary activities are executed promptly
Skills For Success
- Degree in Accounting / Business / Finance
- 5-8 years working experience in Investment Bank / Big Four / Regional Businesses / Financial Planning & Analysis functions / Fintechs / Digibanks / Tech
- Knowledge of accounting standards and finance matters
- Knowledge and experience in business valuation and financial modelling would be a plus
- Understanding of banking and telco regulatory environment and policies
- Strong project management skills, organized and disciplined, showing attention to detail, and following up skills to ensure the right impacts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff
- Ability to work independently and play a hands-on role and exercise flexibility in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide strategic direction and advice
