Manager / Senior Manager, Singapore Membrane Consortium (SG MEM)

SG MEM has been set up as a platform to showcase Singapore's unique ecosystem for membrane technology, and to leverage the same towards developing mutually beneficial collaborations with industrial partners. This end-to-end platform solution encompasses development of Research, Innovation and Enterprise solutions from Materials Discovery and Fabrication, to Modules and Processes, Systems Design and Integration, all the way to Pilot Testing and Optimization. We achieve this through leveraging Singapore's world-class research, dedicated translation and test-bedding capabilities.

Manager / Senior Manager, Singapore Membrane Consortium (SG MEM)

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the identification of research topics, drive research rigor and diligence, while producing in-depth research into specific industry domains and applications that may benefit from membrane technologies and innovations. The candidate will also provide leadership in conceptualizing strategic projects that may arise from the research findings and/or relevant business/needs case analyses. Requisites for this position are leadership experience in research, data validation and analysis, technical writing. Self-starters who play well in a team, with strong integrity and accountability mindset are desired.

Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis

• Identify research topics for the consortium, and drive research rigor, diligence and best practices in the projects team
• Research on membrane-related needs in specific industries such as Bio-medical, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, CO2 and the Environment, Food and Beverage etc.
• Research and collation of existing and upcoming membrane technologies across the varied industry sectors, including maintenance and updates to the knowledge repository
• Analyze, conceptualize and maintain a live membrane technology map along various variables, trends and time horizons
• Develop data-driven scenarios with clear application and adoption roadmap for specific domains and/or technologies
• Research on industry trends and business needs in membrane technologies for the various domains in and beyond water

Technical Writing

• Review, triangulate and validate all SG MEM-led publications/projects/proposals
• Write and compile technically accurate content on industry sectors and relevant technologies

Industry Development

.Engage current industry professionals and ensure consortium value adds their company and businesses

.Search for new and suitable leads that will mutually benefit the consortium members and ecosystem, as well as conduct onboarding as a member if consented

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering/Science
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in research, analysis and scientific/technical writing
• Meticulous data triangulation and validation skills
• Preferred experience in membranes, chemistry and/or materials technology
• Preferred experience in business/ industry development
• Preferred prior experience with business case analysis and/or applied research analysis
• Ability to discern industry needs and trends
• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across academia, institutional research, and industry
• Ability to lead and guide junior analysts while delivering results independently
• Team player with strong integrity and accountability mindset
