Summary
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to lead and drive process improvement initiatives in Instrument Operations to optimize and enhance our production processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering principles and experience in manufacturing environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives in Instrument Operations.
- Perform pFMEA, risk assessment, standard-work development, cycle time studies, line-balancing, and process improvements.
- Drive measurable and sustainable improvements in quality, material control, throughput, flexibility, and cost.
- Establish framework, develop appropriate tools and methods, to sustain continuous improvement efforts within Instrument Operations team.
- Work with manufacturing and engineering team to instill the disciplines to drive a transition to a Lean Six Sigma thinking.
- Establish, conduct and/or facilitate structured training program for manufacturing and engineering team.
- Establish and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions.
- Guide and support manufacturing team in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Incorporate the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods in team activities and business problem solving.
- Promote analytical problem solving through the application of statistical control methodology.

Position Requirements
- Strong process, analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to use statistical tools in data analysis and problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability in developing Work Instructions, Writing and Presenting reports.
- Experience with FDA regulated & ISO13485 medical device manufacturing.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are essential.
- Must thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (Bioengineering, Science or Engineering equivalent fields).
- 2+ years working experience in Life Science Industry (Medical Device is preferred).
- Experience in Statistics, SPC and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt would be added advantage.
- Experience preferred in analytical tool (JMP) and Simulation software (FlexSim) will be an added advantage.
