Experience from Marine
Job Duties:
. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines, auxiliary engine, steering systems, and other components etc.
. Perform repairs on inboard and outboard engines, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard system are working in satisfactory order.
. Ensure the cleanliness of ship and engine room when onboard
. Provide detailed reports on work performed and explain the nature of repairs and services to customers.
. Safety and Compliance:
. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to marine service and repairs.
. Documentation and Reporting:
. Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time, parts used, and labour.
. Utilize service management software to log and track repairs and maintenance tasks.
. Team Collaboration:
. Work closely with other technicians and service team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
. Any other duties as assigned.
Requirement:
. Diploma or equivalent technical certification or associate degree in marine mechanics or related field preferred.
. Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine service equipment.
. Knowledge of marine engines, aux engines and cargo pumps.
. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
. Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
