The role involves close collaboration with their HQ in Japan.
About the job
- Spearhead market research projects, leveraging a variety of data sources-both internal and external-to gather comprehensive market intelligence.
- Identify and monitor key market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs within the ASEAN and ANZ regions.
- Clean and analyze collected data, transforming it into actionable insights that inform business strategies.
- Perform macro-level and industry-specific analysis to assess market potential, growth opportunities, and potential risks in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and technology.
- Develop detailed reports and presentations on market trends, competitive landscapes, and strategic opportunities for senior management and stakeholders in Japan.
- Collaborate with the HQ to align findings with global business goals, offering tailored recommendations based on local market nuances.
- Explore new business opportunities through targeted research, evaluating potential for emerging technologies and solutions.
- Build and maintain partnerships with industry bodies, government agencies, and research institutions to enhance the company's market positioning and access to key data.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure that market insights are effectively integrated into operational strategies and customer engagement efforts.
Skills and experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in data collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation, with a strong ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Experience in conducting market research projects independently, including identifying data sources, managing data quality, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including in Business level Japanese or JLPT 1/ JLPT 2 level , with the ability to influence decision-making at senior management levels who are based in their Global HQ in Japan
