Job Description

We are actively seeking top-tier talent capable of bringing expertise to the Communications team of our client, the leading Bank in their industry.

This Marketing Communication Manager (1-year contract) will report to the Head of Communications for Singapore and Southeast Asia at the client, with a focus on:

  • Brand & Reputation: Enhance and protect the bank's Singapore brand in line with the bank's core values.
  • Internal Communications: Develop a strategy to connect employees with the bank's ambitions and increase Singapore's visibility within the global network.
  • External Communications: Lead an external communication plan to position the Singapore bank as a top international bank and an employer of choice, emphasizing digital andbank sustainability initiatives.
  • Specialized Coverage: Focus on communications for Life Products and the Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Engagement: Drive and manage internal and external communication initiatives, including speeches, articles, and social media, to boost brand's media presence and engagement in Singapore.
  • Employee Communication: Create and deliver a communications strategy to connect employees with brands goals and culture, sharing internal news and promoting successes globally.
  • Media Relations: Oversee media relations and paid media activities, building strong media relationships, training spokespeople, and crafting compelling stories and speeches for WPB and Life Products leaders.
  • Crisis Management: Manage crisis communications, developing plans to protect the bank's reputation and monitoring media and social channels proactively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 10 years in corporate communications, PR, or media relations, in-house or at an agency.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
  • Background in financial services, particularly in insurance or retail banking, is beneficial.
  • Strong skills in storytelling, writing engaging content, and creating social media posts.
  • Proficiency in video editing, social media content creation, and tools like Canva.
  • Experience with media relations, including handling crises and managing social media, is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate complex, high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative, proactive attitude.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with an international and growth-oriented mindset.
