Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Lead to drive the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of MDM solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MDM concepts, technologies, and governance, combined with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with key business stakeholders, and ensure high-quality data management practices. As an MDM Lead, you will play a pivotal role in defining data governance standards, improving data quality, and ensuring that master data is accurately managed across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MDM Strategy and Implementation:
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Master Data Management (MDM) framework and strategy.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop an MDM roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
    • Oversee the integration of MDM solutions across enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistent master data across platforms.
  • Data Governance & Quality Management:
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of master data.
    • Lead initiatives to cleanse and maintain high-quality master data across various domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier, etc.).
    • Establish data stewardship practices and engage business users to ensure ownership and accountability for master data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with IT, data engineering, and business teams to define requirements for MDM solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Provide leadership in building data models and structures that enhance data quality and support business operations.
    • Manage and collaborate with external vendors, service providers, and third-party stakeholders involved in MDM tools and solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement and Optimization:
    • Continuously monitor and assess MDM processes, tools, and technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving data management trends.
    • Lead efforts to automate and streamline MDM workflows for increased efficiency and reduced manual effort.
  • Reporting & Metrics:
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for MDM, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
    • Measure and report on the effectiveness of MDM initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Data Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or MDM-focused role.
  • Proven experience with MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, Profisee, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, or similar platforms) and data integration technologies.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality management, and the development of data models.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration processes.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Master Data Management best practices, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with data quality tools, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases, cloud platforms, and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ETL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in MDM, Data Governance, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-regional environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technology advancements in the data management field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in the region
