Job Description:
Peak Energy is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Utility Power Projects (UPP) team for the investments Team. As an Intern Renewable Energy Finance, you will play a crucial role in supporting our investment analysis, project financing, and M&A activities of the platform. This position is ideal for a candidate with a focused background in finance, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Financial Modelling:
- Support developing and maintaining comprehensive financial models for renewable energy projects and M&A opportunities.
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities, perform financial analysis, and assist in deal structuring.
Due Diligence:
- Support due diligence process for investment opportunities, ensuring accurate assessment of risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and perform financial analysis.
Presentation and Reporting:
- Assist preparing IC presentations and internal reporting to management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Qualifications:
- Currently in an undergraduate or post-graduate programme with background in finance/accounting or other related fields.
- Experience in creating and utilizing financial models, particularly in the renewable sector will be seen favourably, but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially advanced Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modelling and analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
