Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

. Designs jigs and fixtures as the case may be

. Design for fabrication/ Assembly/ Maintenance

. Research and Development of current or New Products

. Generates manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with customers for technical discussion

. Research and analyse customer design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

. Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

. Understand the design requirements and create the conceptual design/mechanism for the heavy trucks.

. Generate detailed engineering drawings of the design and prepare the Bill of materials.

. Responsible for the preparation of the manufacturing drawings of the detailed design.

. Conduct Finite Element analysis and kinematics & Dynamics analysis to improve the design performance.

. Engage with the manufacturing team during design stage and manufacturing stage to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacturing.

Qualifications & Requirements:

. Candidate must possess Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and related courses.

. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Mechanical design or Machine design is required for this position.

. In depth knowledge in CAD/CAE applications such as SOLIDWORKS, CREO, Inventor and Unigraphics etc.

. Ability to work in the fast paced environment and work independently.

. Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and fundamentals including design principles, machine elements, and fabrication methods.
