Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, develop design specifications, and support design proposals.
- Create conceptual and detailed designs for automation equipment, including material handling and process automation.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar software, and release comprehensive design documentation.
- Work with the manufacturing team on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), assembly processes and qualification procedures.
- Assemble, test and qualify prototypes, troubleshooting as necessary to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Requirements
- Experienced in designing industrial automation using Autodesk Inventor, with expertise in pneumatics, motion components, DFM, DFA, and GD&T.
