Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and architectural engineers, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Participate in the development and review of project plans, specifications, and schedules to align with mechanical engineering requirements.
2. Site Supervision and Quality Assurance:
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on the construction site.
- Ensure that all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, and to ensure safety compliance.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for the timely delivery and installation of mechanical equipment and materials.
3. Project Administration and Documentation:
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
- Support in the preparation of mechanical engineering budgets, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all mechanical engineering activities are maintained.
4. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Identify potential mechanical engineering issues and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- Address and resolve site-related problems promptly to minimize project delays.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel for any mechanical engineering challenges encountered.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with relevant local regulations, standards, and environmental policies.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures among all site personnel and subcontractors.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize hazards associated with mechanical works.
6. Stakeholder Communication:
- Assist the Project Manager in liaising with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on mechanical engineering matters.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the status of mechanical works.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
