Job Title: Mechanical Engineer -Marine (ID7131)
Location: Gul Circle
Working Hours: Mon to Thu 8am-6pm, Fri: 8am-5pm
Salary: $3000-$5000
Job Description
. Prepare service reports upon project completion.
. Ensure timely completion of repairs, maintenance, and overhaul jobs while maintaining high-quality service standards.
. Plan job methodologies and schedules, and coordinate with local or overseas agents for job deployment and preparation.
. Independently perform engine repairs and overhauls on board or at the site, including dismantling, repairing, replacing, and reassembling mechanical parts.
. Prepare quotations for new inquiries, control job costs within budget, and liaise with customers for smooth communication.
. Oversee projects from start to finish, including quotations, on-site jobs, invoicing, and service reports.
. Troubleshoot machinery issues and propose repair solutions.
. Lead technician teams and conduct daily toolbox meetings to ensure safe work practices.
Requirements:
. Diploma or higher in Marine/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of ship repair experience in Singapore.
. Willing to perform HANDS-ON mechanical repairs, installations, and removals, both on-site and on-board vessels, with occasional irregular hours.
. Good command of spoken and written English.
. Capable of liaising with customers and maintaining client relationships, while providing technical assistance in all aspects of work.
. Highly organized, able to work with tight schedules to accommodate ship arrivals, and proficient in organizational, planning, and project management skills.
. Independent, resourceful, proactive, and a team player.
