Mechanical Engineer

Assignment

1. The Mechanical Engineer is assigned to Technical Centre Singapore (TC SG)
2. The Mechanical Engineer reports to the Mechanical department Manager of TC SG
3. The Mechanical Engineer is based in Singapore
4. The Mechanical Engineer will mainly work in Singapore, travel to jobsites (worldwide) is occasionaly required

Experience

1. The candidate has a degree in mechanical engineering
2. Experience in the field of hydraulics will be a plus
3. Experience in electrical engineering will be a plus
4. Experience with AutoCad is required
5. Experience with Inventor software will be a plus
6. English will be the common used language and the candidate needs to have an advanced level of English both written and oral
7. Knowledge of other languages will be a plus

Responsibilities

1. Carries out design in accordance with indications of Engineer in Charge
2. Understands the time frame (deadlines), monitors progress and informs on changes
3. Manages drafting manpower assigned to her / him with regards to quality, schedule and manhours spent
4. Understands and mitigates the technical risks associated with the task
5. Seeks advice from senior staff if she / he cannot solve a problem on her / his own
