Job Description- Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacturing
Position Title: Mechanic (Marine/Electrical)
- Working Location: Islandwide (Company transport provided at Jurong area)
Working Hours: Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm, Saturday 8 am 12 pm
- Salary Package: Basic + Housing Allowance + AWS + Performance Bonus + OT
Duration: Permanent Role
Travel to the shipyard or docking area where the vessel is located.- Test the performance of marine engines and electrical systems.
Overhaul and troubleshoot main engines and generators.
- Complete service records and repair documents, maintaining paperwork such as timesheets, service reports, and parts returns in a timely manner.
Follow service manual instructions for all repair procedures.- Finish service jobs efficiently within the standard job hour guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Perform in-house and on-site calibration.
Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Min Nitec / Diploma in relevant fields.- Proven work experience as a marine mechanic.
Ability to work in the engine room onboard vessels.
- Ability to work offshore.
Follow all safety standards and practices while working in the workshop and on-site.- Communicate technical information effectively to service staff and customers.
