Job Description

We are a Singapore Oncology Specialist Group focussing on the use of state of the art technology to offer targeted and non-invasive treatments for our cancer patients.

We are looking for Medical Radiation Physicist to join our growing and dynamic team. If you are a former Medical Radiation Physicist who may have taken some time off for your family, studies or other personal pursuits and would like to re-enter the profession, we welcome you to join us. A Medical Radiation Physicist will provide scientific, technical, safety and educational support in a radiation therapy department.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Radiation dosimetry, calibration and in-vivo measurements
  • Quality assurance of treatment machines, treatment planning systems and dosimetry equipment
  • Radiation safety measurements and administration
  • Radiation treatment plan quality assurance
  • Equipment commissioning and acceptance
  • Professional development, training and orientation in all areas of radiation therapy physics

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess minimum a master degree in physics or equivalent qualification
  • Required language(s): English
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of current radiation therapy principles, methods, procedures, and techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the operational characteristics, usage, and safety parameters of a comprehensive range of radiation therapy equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Computer hardware and software knowledge and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
  • Ability to design, develop and modify radiation therapy devices and modalities.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles, methods, and procedures
  • Knowledge of regulations, guidelines, and standards for the provision of medical physics/radiation therapy to patients.
  • Advises and consults with medical providers and specialists.
  • Researches and develops new devices and modalities for improved therapeutic use of radiation.
  • Work is performed in an interior medical/clinical environment.
  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
  • Occasionally work may need to be completed outside normal working hours including weekends.
