Primary Purpose: The Merchandise Planner position is responsible for all merchandising planning and buying activities associated with Coach SEA Outlet business channel. The ideal candidate will be required to manage and develop a balanced assortment offering based on market needs and company strategic goals. This is a key role in delivering performance against sales, SKU productivity, and product sell through.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in merchandising to
Understand each of the region within Coach SEA and analyze consumer retail trends, market landscape, and competitive environment
Collaborate with Global Merchandising Teams to understand seasonal strategies, priorities and newness styles
Work with Global Merchandise Planning Team on department growth strategies and key investment guidance to increase SKU productivity
Engage in seasonal line reviews with Global Teams, highlighting current selling trends and product gaps to influence future product creation.
Responsible for identifying any gaps in merchandising assortment during seasonal product opportunity (SPO) process.
Create consumer-focused assortments for each region considering store profiles, VM space capacity and SKU productivity
Work with Inventory Management Team on OTB and Seasonal Buy
Manage seasonal Sales forecasting at SKU level
Analyze POS data to understand sell-through to aid pre-season planning, and identify in-season opportunities
Partner with Retail Management team to gather product feedback
Monitor competitors against Brand's position in terms of products and pricing

3-5 years experience in retail, B2B, franchise or wholesale experience
Proven track record of buying/merchandising success for multinational brand/company
Analytical skills and ability to translate data into action points
Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple deadlines
Experience in merchandising/planning systems and SAP a plus

Comfortable in presenting and communicating to upper management
Self-starter and able to work independently and as a team player
Intermediate to Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, macro building a plus)
BA/BS university degree or its equivalent in merchandising, business, finance, economics, or supply chain.
