Job Description

Merchandising & Supply Chain Specialist

  • Job Scope:
Negotiates with suppliers for the best prices for traded products, updates price lists and calculates cost and selling prices to ensure target profitability ratios are met.
  • To source for unique & relevant Merchandise in assigned categories for FMCG.
Review open orders and closely monitor progress of each project. This will include all aspects of production.
  • Coordinate with sourcing vendors to manage vendor performance.
Ability to negotiate with vendors to secure and expedite required delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with other departments in the group when required.
Evaluate vendor capabilities and identify appropriate vendors to source.
  • Actively search for new potential sourcing vendors, always seeking to improve pricing without compromising quality.
Search and identifies new products, methods or sources of supply, quantifies the benefits to the company, and develops specific recommendations to senior management.
  • Working with global team based in UK and Australia
Target driven by understanding that the needs of our end customer must be paramount.
  • Focus on sustainability to meet group sustainability targets.


  • Requirements:


Ideally minimum 3 years experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Having shipping knowledge and import/export experience, specifically working with China, India and South Korea.
Ability to travel internationally when required, to visit and work with Vendors.
  • A good knowledge of FSC and PEFC regulations would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
Good communication skills and can produce reports.
  • Must have good experience Microsoft Office and especially Excel.
Able to communicate to all levels (vendor / customers / banks / shipping)
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Has a passion for achieving target pricing and ensuring ONTIF for deliveries.
Possess advanced planning and time management capabilities
  • Must have a proactive mindset and be able to anticipate and resolve problems.
A strong work ethic with a positive can do attitude and one who takes pride in the quality of their work
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin. Korean is advantageous.
Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage although on-the-job training will be given.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,
  • 00 - $5,500.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
  • 13th month salary
