Get to know our Team:
The Singapore Commercial team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Singapore. We contribute to Grab's vision of being Southeast Asia's superapp by providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Singapore. We develop business strategies that help us achieve our vision in serving our community.
The team grows the accounts of F&B businesses across GrabFood. Ensuring close partnership with these merchants, we develop plans and strategies to grow their sales and meet their needs, across the different services in Grab such as Express, Pay, and Ads.
This role will be onsite and based in the One North office.
Get To Know The Role
You will be reporting to the Head, Commercial, SMB Food & Mart. Your responsibility includes:
- Build business relationships with existing and potential new merchants to achieve growth for GrabFood
- Lead all elements of account management, including business identification, business development strategy, partner negotiation, daily account management, and execution of key plans
- Drive growth in F&B accounts as measured by deliveries, GMV and revenue, and forming deeper relationships with partners through collaboration in other Grab verticals such as GrabPay, GrabAds and GrabExpress
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Work with the Head of Commercial (GrabFood) on business development strategy
- Manage a portfolio of accounts with a focus on building lasting relationships and increasing profitability/revenue
- Evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Analyse data and develop plans to increase revenues/profitability for your portfolio
- Increase growth for key accounts, measured by deliveries and GMV and ensure that the partner excels on the platform
- Work across departments to tailor account specific needs (e.g. customized reporting, marketing support, integrations, product) to make sure accounts have the best possible experience on the GrabFood platform
- Engage Grab merchants and listen to their needs, collect and address feedback, and address concerns put forward
- Drive operational excellence by working with the merchants and operations teams to develop joint business plans, conduct regular business reviews and pitch strategic plans
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or equivalent.
- 2-4+ years in account management, business development, partnerships, or a similar role.
- Experienced in handling key accounts and strategic partnerships with 1+ years of experience in the F&B industry as a bonus
- You have experience managing conversations with C-level positions and senior partners.
- Comfortable managing details and analysing data, and demonstrate collaborative efforts across internal and external teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English, ability to provide comprehensive solutions.
