Were looking to add a Microbiologist in Singapore. The position will be based in our Univac office in Woodlands.
As a Microbiologist, you will:
Provide support in setting up the microbiology lab, process validation, and performing routine and non-routine microbial testing, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment in compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 13485, GLP systems, and international standards, as well as ensuring proper quality records, documentation, and laboratory housekeeping.
The key responsibilities are as below:
Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the Laboratorys Quality System.
Hands-on experience in Method Transfer, Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), Validation performance, and Reports.
Support the setup of the microbiological laboratory, including method validation, and developing microbiological and equipment qualification/requalification.
Perform routine/non-routine environmental monitoring for all required facilities, clean rooms, hygienic areas, and labs, including particle monitoring tests.
Perform routine/non-routine microbiology testing for Bioburden tests, Microbial limits tests, etc.
Provide documentation support to the department by participating in writing/revising SOPs, protocols, test reports, and any other work assigned by the immediate superior.
Provide and maintain proper quality records and documentation compliance in GDP.
Liaise with external vendors on instrument calibration and maintenance.
Liaise with other departments for training needs and technical support.
Participate in out-of-specification, deviation that is related to microbiological and quality issues.
Proficient in methods and practices of microbiological analysis.
Basic housekeeping of the laboratory: lab cleanliness, sterilization, and drying of glassware, etc.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
What skills and experiences are we looking for
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Science (Microbiology or related discipline).
2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry with a good understanding of cGMP, ISO, and USP requirements.
Good understanding of Safety, GLP, GDP, and extensive knowledge of microbiological lab accreditation work of SAC-SINGLAS (ISO 17025).
Experience in aseptic techniques, operating laboratory equipment, and lab computer systems.
Proficient in methods and practices of microbiological analysis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Good analytical, oral and written communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols
