We have partnered with a leading commodities trading company (leaders in the energy market) to secure a highly motivated Middle Office Analyst to join the P/L team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate daily P&L reports and consolidate all trade book reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Address inquiries from traders and other departments regarding P&L-related issues.
- Communicate with traders about proposed booking changes or unclear business practices.
- Educate stakeholders on how deal changes or bookings may impact their operations.
- Validate entries for physical commodities (LNG, Gas, and Coal) and derivatives to ensure accurate valuation in our ETRM system.
- Assist in Market and Credit risk monitoring.
- Analyze and calculate the impacts of interest rate (IR) and foreign exchange (FX) fluctuations on P&L, collaborating with the Treasury team to ensure expectations and hedges are properly managed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an energy or commodity trading environment.
- A degree in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with commodities and/or P&L.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
- Background in data analytics and visualization.
