Middleware Tech.Lead / Engineer
The Middleware Tech. Lead / Engineer is an intermediate level position responsible for maintaining middleware systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.
Responsibilities:
- Account administration, Log management and extraction.
- Job management; Session management.
- Service configuration and management.
- Monitor and finetune the performance of the middleware.
- Assist to on board and deploy existing and new applications.
- Communicate and coordinate with representatives and other application vendors using the same middleware to minimise downtime for any activities on the middleware.
- Coordinate with infrastructure FM team on all infrastructure matters, including operating system, backup, capacity and etc.
- Report and assist on security related incident and activities.
- Coordinate with the principal vendor of the middleware to obtain the latest and necessary firmware and software patches.
- Provide monthly report on patch status, activities conducted, and to forecast activities.
Qualifications:
- 05 to 07 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in managing web applications in Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere and Tomcat.
- Possess hands-on experience as a Middleware Tech.Lead / Engineer or in a similar role
- Expertise in scripting languages like bash, sh, Perl, and csh
- You possess at least a working knowledge of Middleware support and engineering in an RHEL environment.
- Experience in Cloud based environments (AWS)
- You have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- You possess excellent communication skills that facilitate interaction with multiple stakeholders.
- Having relevant certifications will be advantageous.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
