Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.
You will be responsible for optimising and improving Mobile Security tools, which are being used by all the software engineering mobile teams in the different business lines. These tools help model the risks and vulnerabilities that may occur in software products.
Responsibilities:
- Update current risk assessment tool based on Electron technology. Different security risk levels will be reflected depending on options selected, hence logic of how the risk levels are defined will have to be understood
- Improve the mobSF tool if time permits
- Exposure and learning on mobile security domain
Requirements:
- Interest in mobile security, secure SDLC and software security domain
- Proficient with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, scripting, Json, XML and Electron
- Flexible and adaptable to working on different topics/ technologies
- Autonomous, motivated, proactive, energetic and willing to learn new knowledge
- Comfortable to work both alone or as a team with a mentor guiding (if required)
- Commitment: Able to commit on a full-time basis for ideally 6 months (or a minimum of 5 months) from mid-2025 onwards
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn about mobile security, the importance of security tools and processes. These processes include threat modelling, security risk assessment, common vulnerabilities and attacks in mobile applications
