To inspect anchor mooring systems and ancillary equipment as may be required by customer.
To inspect all equipment and review original material and test certification for said equipment to ensure that documentation is sufficient, complete and consistent with the requirements of the customer.
To provide written reports of results of any inspection in a format consistent with the requirements of the customer.
Provision of mooring expertise specifically and exclusively to support the operation onboard the FSO/FPSO, rig / AHV.
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with vessel crews and offshore personnel for safe mooring operations.
Investigate incidents and accidents related to mooring and implement corrective actions.
To assist in planning and supervising the deployment and recovery of anchor mooring systems and the connection and disconnection of said equipment.
Manage towing / station keeping operations onshore / offshore
Assist in project proposals, document planning and implementation of projects assigned including but not limited to project budgeting, project planning & preparation & implementation
Assist with suitability inspections and chartering of marine spread vessels / barges for local / overseas operations.
Negotiate with various parties and finalize advantageous charter contracts.
Attend operation meetings and prepare relevant documents for approval.
To liaise with vessel crew to ensure that all equipment on board the vessel is handled in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and with due care in respect of accepted standards of good marine practices.
Liaise with management, engineers, and project manager in all subsidiaries and affiliated companies world-wide.
To support and promote safe operations aboard the vessel on handling and operations associated with customer's equipment.
To relay technical and hands-on knowledge and experience to field personnel designated by customer.
Participate in international sales and marketing initiatives.
Provide sales, operational and technical support to all subsidiaries and affiliated companies as and when required.
Liaise with port authorities and other relevant agencies as needed.
Contribute to emergency response plans and participate in drills and exercises.
Other tasks as assigned by management.
Qulaification
Minimum Degree holder 2nd or Chief Officer (preferred but not required).
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in marine or Oil & Gas Industry with offshore construction experience preferred.
Physically fit for offshore deployment - Familiarity with offshore works, steel structure, winches, cranes and zone rated application are added advantages.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 QA system - Familiar with IACS (in particular ABS and DNV) rules and regulations on offshore construction projects and towing - Knowledge of DP surveys, documentation, best practices, rules and regulations.
Willing to travel, working offshore for extended periods and go the extra mile to meet customers requirements.
Strong communication skills. English speaking and writing is a must
Ability to both write and review or contribute to project proposals and procedures.
Basic Microsoft computer software skills, ability to learn and be proficient with Franklin proprietary mooring catenary software.
