Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for ensuring vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers. Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose vehicle problems using diagnostic tools, computer software, and your expertise in automotive systems.
2. Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of vehicles, including but not limited to cars, trucks, motorcycles, and buses.
3. Replace or repair faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension components.
4. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
5. Test vehicles after repairs or maintenance to ensure they meet safety standards and perform as expected.
6. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and computer diagnostic reports to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems effectively.
7. Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used to maintain vehicle histories and ensure compliance with regulations.
8. Adhere to safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.
9. Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and associated costs.
10. Stay updated on the latest advancements in automotive technology and techniques through training programs and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
. High school diploma or equivalent.
. Formal training or certification in automotive technology preferred.
. Proven experience as a motor vehicle mechanic, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
. Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive problems.
. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computer software, and technical manuals.
. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
. Able to work weekend and public holiday.
. Able to work NIGHT-SHIFT
