Job Description:Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Assess the needs of children, teens, adults with special needs with developmental, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and families for music therapy
Provide music therapy intervention with various clients in an individual or group setting- Set goals, review progress systematically to monitor effectiveness and to aid the planning of subsequent sessions
Liaise and collaborate with professionals in the team by engaging in case discussions and/or meetings to share ideas, expertise and good practice
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment/intervention with clients and consultation with families/staff/other stakeholders
Maintain timely and appropriate feedback and necessary communication with the clients and stakeholders (e.g., family and staff) in the management of clients.- Participate in staff meetings, internal professional development, events organised by TLC, networking meetings, and any other meetings as and when necessary. This may include presenting and promoting art therapy to clients and other professionals
Keep up to date with administration matters which is not limited to but include: respond to referrals, follow clinic process for seeing the client, completing memos (as necessary)
- Maintain open communication with clinic directors of their work with the client and families
Be proactive in keeping abreast of developments in the field of Music Therapy- Maintain music therapy space, instruments and equipment
Master of Arts in Music Therapy from an accredited institution- Registration with relevant Professional Body or Music Therapy Association
A professional member of the Association of Music Therapy Singapore (AMTS)
- Preferably able to work a weekend (either sat or sun)
Good interpersonal and communication skills- Good organisation and planning skills
Independent and self motivated
- Good team player and also be able to work independently
