We are a leading firm in the marine and maritime industry in Singapore, specializing in the design, development, and optimization of innovative vessels and offshore structures and small aluminium boats from 5m to 20m.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Naval Architect to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge boat design works and want to work on diverse and exciting projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering: Assist the lead designer and analysis of naval architecture solutions for commercial, military, and offshore vessels.
- Structural Analysis: Perform stability, strength, and hydrodynamic analyses to ensure vessels meet industry standards and regulations.
- Modeling & Simulation: Use advanced software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Solid Works, NAPA, OrcaFlex, etc.) for 3D modeling and simulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, BV, ABS, DNV-GL).
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Project Support: Provide technical support during all stages of a project, from concept development to construction and commissioning.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to research and development efforts to improve vessel performance, safety, and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: Fresh Graduates can apply and training will be given.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in naval architecture software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Maxsurf, Solidworks etc.)
- Strong knowledge of hydrodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural integrity analysis.
- Familiarity with classification society rules and international marine regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and innovatively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Chartered Naval Architect (or equivalent).
- Experience in specialized vessel design, such as yachts, small boats, workboats
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices, including energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
- Experience with advanced simulation tools, such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
