Job Description
- Position: NAVAL ARCHITECT
- Well Established Marine and Offshore Service Provider
- Working hours: Monday - Friday
- Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $9,000
- Working Location: Tuas
- Duration: Permanent
- Industry: Marine and Offshore
Main Responsibilities:
- Independently handling design project and develop naval architecture & hull design.
- Provide assistance in enhancing the skills and knowledge of team members to support their professional development.
- Liaise with Owner/ Class/ External Designer for the specific design requirement and provide technical solution.
- Lead team to general conceptual and basic design.
- Design and deliver tailored training programs, provide one-on-one coaching, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry practices.
- Perform naval architecture calculations such as speed performance prediction, stability/hydrostatic, scantling assessment, weight distribution, launching calculation and etc.
- Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Hull / Naval Architecture design.
- Good knowledge and skill on coaching and structural/naval architecture design.
- Familiar with GHS/NAPA/FEMAP/Autocad/MS office
- Good communication, analytical skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
