Kerry Consulting is working together with a local systems integrator to hire for a Network Engineer.
Requirements:
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Should have strong knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management concepts. ServiceNow tool experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Engineers need to provide 24/7 support when needed as well as required to participate in on-call duty.
- Providing 3rd line support for the timely resolution of incidents and problems
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
- Should have good knowledge of project management and vendor management.
- Engineers must be able to speak confidently and able to conduct presentations.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving/root cause analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience in supporting, maintaining, and deploying Allot, Brocade, Ciena, Cisco switches & Routers, Checkpoint, Gigamon, Palo Alto, Infoblox, PulseSecure equipments.
- Knowledge and experience in network scripting and process automation added advantage.
- Good Knowledge of Internet security techniques, network forensics, latest protocols and defences against new viruses and other attacks.
- Routing and Switching - all network technology used to connect services from all network data-centres to any connected endpoint
- Must be capable of mounting switches and carrying weighted equipment.
- Monitor network performance and adhere to configuration policy and standards
- Proficiency and experience in developing technical documentation such as System Design, Configuration Design, System Architecture Drawings and technical deliverables using Microsoft Office software tools (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)
- Experience in tracing end users remotely as well as Network device power requirements.
- Experience in structure cabling technologies and data centre cabling methodologies.
- The engineer must have experience in large-scale firewall deployment, maintenance, and support.
- Basic knowledge about servers (Wintel and Linux and virtualization).
- Experience in tracking and understanding the perimeter zone equipment security vulnerability reports and providing the SW/ HW bug fixes.
- Experience dealing with principal TAC case escalation and issue reporting.
- Have substantial experience working with extensive enterprise support and maintenance of Internet links, BGP peering and perimeter infrastructure security.
- Proficient in IP subnet, OSI layers, PBR, OSPF, BGP, STP, VTP, SNMP, QoS, HSRP, VPC, VRF, VSS, DNS, DHCP, NAC, LAN Security, 802.1x Auth, SSL/TLS, 802.11, RADIUS, TACACS+, Linux, and Microsoft OS is a must.
- Proficient in using network analyzer/sniffing tools such as Sniffer, Wireshark, and Ethereal for troubleshooting network issues. They must be able to understand and troubleshoot problems using packet dumps/traces produced by such tools.
- Experience in Syslog message extraction and co-relation techniques
Skill:
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, including operating systems, network, storage, and backup.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and skill sets.
- Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Good team player who can also carry out assignments independently.
