The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, proposing solutions, and addressing project-related queries for all wired and wireless networks. This role requires strong expertise in network equipment management, troubleshooting, change management, and audit compliance, as well as maintaining network documentation and vendor relations. The position also involves managing firewalls, WAN connectivity, ClearPass systems, AWS Cloud networking, and working with third-party contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support for all wired and wireless networks and propose solutions for project-related queries.
- Analyze, plan, coordinate, and implement change requests for both existing and new network equipment, working with vendors, service providers, and internal teams.
- Assess, plan, remediate, and provide evidence for audit findings from both internal and external audits within required timelines.
- Proactively monitor bandwidth utilization and thresholds across network equipment, identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Administer daily operations of firewalls (Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto), monitor firewall rules, and review IPS logs regularly.
- Maintain and update network documentation, including wired and wireless configurations, vendor lists, escalation matrices, and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain updated vendor contacts and supervise third-party contractors for on-site network tasks at data centers and remote sites.
- Perform troubleshooting for network cabling and wireless access points and coordinate follow-up work with maintenance contractors.
- Provide on-site technical support for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, ensuring proper failover testing.
- Manage all WAN connections (local and overseas) and ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met by service providers.
- Manage the ClearPass System and handle daily operations for firewalls, switches, and load balancers, including Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Cisco IOS, Nexus switches, and F5 Load balancer.
- Manage network devices deployed in AWS Cloud, requiring strong AWS Cloud knowledge.
- Participate in various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with in-depth hands-on experience in Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, Meraki, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, ClearPass, F5 Load Balancer, and Aruba.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (MPLS, IPv6, Multicast, L3VPN, BGP, OSPF, DNS).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud networking and devices.
